Testimonials from Our Alumni

Diana Diyarza - "I am a junior at Queens Vocational and Technical High School. I want to obtain my cosmetology license when I become older. In addition, I want to open a salon for my mom, with the skills SCIP has taught me. I would like to attend John Jay College of Criminal Justice and major in forensics. SCIP helped me to gain experience in the field of cosmetology by participating in SCIP’s Celebrity Golf and Tennis Culmination event."

Ravin Harduarsingh - "I am a Senior at City Polytechnic High School and freshman New York City College of Technology. I joined SCIP to gain knowledge in the corporate environment such as business etiquette, public speaking & branding yourself. SCIP has exceeded my expectation by fulfilling my needs, and providing opportunities in my future. I want to attend Harvard University to major in corporate law and become a successful corporate lawyer. I would like to work for the largest law firm in New York City, Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Steven Lee - "I am a senior at Ralph R. McKee Career & Technical High School. One future goal of mine is to be a network engineer. I wish to attend NYIT and major in Computer Science, with a masters degree. Having great interest in technology, I have been able to gain experience in this field by working on the Website Team. I learned a great deal in creating a website and using software that is user friendly. Additionally, I learned leadership skills and have become an outspoken individual providing advice to my colleagues."

Sarah Weiss - "I am a senior at Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical High School and graduating in June of 2014. I have been Team Leader of the Design Team, which has allowed me to expand my experience on becoming a Graphic Designer."

Narima Persaud - "I have displayed excellence throughout the years in SCIP. As a three year Team Leader I have worked behind the scenes when it came to planning SCIP’s Annual Wine Tasting Event. I am continuing my educational endeavors as a rising freshmen at the Borough of Manhattan Community College with an ambition to study both International Business and Chinese as a foreign language. My legacy is to be both an innovator and a leader; what Mr. and Ms. Mancebo expects of each and every intern who is a part of SCIP.'

Shane Thomas - 'I am a freshman at Rutgers University, Honors College program, in the fall. Throughout my years in SCIP I have been a Team Leader of both the Design Team, and Media Team.

My leadership has provided strong guidance  to the SCIP interns and powerful knowledge

to accomplish their future goals.

I have been exposed to a variety of

different career fields, during SCIP, and have caught a

passion for engineering. I'm currently majoring in mechanical engineering, to apply the fundamentals of science and math to create practical, useful solutions for society."
