About SCIP
SCIP has built on its legacy High School Program (H-SCIP) to create a continuum through its College Programs (C-SCIP). Interns are exposed to global business leaders, trained in corporate communications and coached in professional decorum. These activities take place during the school year and during the Summer Executive Leadership Program. SCIP also provides mentors who help the students develop a strong work ethic, and enables them to identify and take advantage of future opportunities for their college and post-college goals. Throughout the year, SCIP holds business and educational summits and career expos in which our corporate partners attend to recruiting prospective employees. The Selective Corporate Internship Program is 501(c)(3) organization.
SCIP was established to provide a growth module for students in the public school system to have access to the “movers and shakers” in the corporate arena and to have a wide range of future options. As part of their on-going community-oriented endeavors, the Mancebo wanted to give these students, who would not be able to connect to these leaders on their own, direct access to corporate professionals and business owners who could share their experience and insights.
SCIP’s interns are exposed to global business environments, trained in appropriate corporate communications, and coached in office protocol. Mentors provide interns with motivation and guidance to help them develop a strong work ethic, as well as enabling them to identify and take advantage of future opportunities. The Mancebo's dedication inspires their Fortune 500 clients to welcome and provide advanced training to these outstanding interns, establishing a win-win situation for both the interns and corporations. SCIP builds on today’s strategies for success to create tomorrow’s leaders.
